Create Your Own
Race Track
On Real Maps.

Design custom circuits and rally stages anywhere in the world on real satellite and dark maps. Drop waypoints, shape widths and kerbs, add a pitlane and run-off areas, then get lap times, sector analysis, and corner-by-corner data across seven racing classes — from Formula 1 to WRC. When it's done, share it as a ready-to-post track card. Free, runs in your browser, and takes about two minutes.

How to create a race track in four steps.

01
Pick a location and a format

Start from any of the 24 current F1 circuits, search for any city, address, or place on Earth, or jump straight to your own location with one tap. Then choose your race format: a closed circuit with a start/finish line, or a rally-style point-to-point stage.

02
Draw and shape your track

Click to place waypoints — smooth spline curves are drawn automatically, or flip on straight line mode for sharp, angular segments. Drag points to reshape in real time, drag the blue handles to set track width segment by segment, toggle kerbs, paint tarmac or gravel run-off areas, and draw a pitlane alongside your circuit.

03
Complete the loop — or the stage

Press C to close the circuit or complete the stage. The analysis unlocks instantly: lap or stage time, top speed, corner count, longest straight, race lap count, and eight-tier speed zone colouring. Press A for the full analysis — sector times, a corner-by-corner table with radii and lateral G, braking zones, and the real-world circuit your design most resembles.

04
Share, export, or keep refining

Press S for a ready-to-post track card and a short link that encodes your whole design — post it to X, Instagram, Reddit, or Facebook in one tap. Press I to export your layout as PNG images in eight styles, or G, K, and X for GPX, KML, and XML files. Switch classes any time and everything updates live.

Everything you need to design a race track.

Maps
Anywhere on Earth

Design on a dark map or switch to satellite view. Jump to a GP circuit preset, search for any city, address, or place, or start right where you are using your device's location.

Formats
Circuits & Rally Stages

Build a traditional closed loop with lap times, race-distance lap counts, and a pitlane — or a point-to-point rally stage with stage-time estimates and speed zones for the full run from start to finish.

Classes
Seven Vehicle Classes

F1, GT3, MotoGP, NASCAR, IndyCar, Go Kart, and WRC — each with distinct physics. Extreme downforce, production-car grip, motorcycle dynamics, stock-car braking, kart-scale speeds, and rally-car handling all transform the same layout.

Physics
Lap Times & Race Laps

A physics-based model calculates cornering speeds from track curvature and applies realistic acceleration and braking for an instant lap or stage time — plus how many laps a full race distance would take, from F1's 305 km to a kart sprint.

Analysis
Full Track Analysis

One key opens the engineer's view: sector times, a speed trace, a corner-by-corner table with direction, radius, apex speed, and lateral G, braking zones with overtaking potential, corner balance, a class-by-class lap comparison — and the real-world circuit your design most resembles.

Visual
Speed Zones & Racing Line

Once complete, every metre of track is colour-coded across eight speed tiers scaled to your vehicle class — from flat-out red to hairpin green. Toggle the racing line, turn labels, and satellite imagery to see your circuit exactly how you want.

Detail
Pitlane, Kerbs & Run-Off

Go beyond the racing line. Draw a pitlane with its own entry and exit, toggle kerbs on any segment, set track and run-off widths per segment with draggable handles, paint tarmac or gravel run-off areas, and give your corners custom names.

Export
Images, Files & Short Links

Render your design as a PNG in eight styles — track card, minimal poster, blueprint, speed map, neon, vintage GP poster, F1 broadcast graphics with DRS zones, or composited satellite imagery. Or export GPX, KML, and XML files, and share a short link anyone can open and edit.

Editing
Undo, Touch & Live Updates

30-step undo history. Drag waypoints and watch every statistic update in real time. Double-click to delete a point on desktop; on mobile, tap to place, drag to move, long-press to delete, and pinch to zoom. A built-in interactive tutorial walks you through every tool.

What people use the track maker for.

Trace real circuits. Jump to any of the 24 F1 circuit presets and trace the actual track layout. See how the tool's lap time compares to reality — and check the full analysis to see which famous circuit your version most resembles. Try modifying a corner to see if a redesign would improve the circuit.

Design street circuits. Switch to satellite view, search for your hometown, and draw a circuit through real streets. Set realistic widths with the segment handles, add a pitlane, and find out what lap time an F1 car would set on a circuit through your neighbourhood.

Build rally stages. Pick the point-to-point format, switch to WRC physics, and thread a stage through mountain passes, forest roads, or desert trails. Get a stage-time estimate and speed-zone colouring for the entire run from start to finish.

Compare racing classes. Build a layout and switch between F1, GT3, MotoGP, NASCAR, IndyCar, Go Kart, and WRC. See how the same track produces completely different speed profiles, lap times, and race lap counts depending on the vehicle physics.

Explore circuit design principles. Experiment with corner radii, straight lengths, chicane placement, and hairpin positions. The instant feedback loop — right down to braking zones and corner-by-corner lateral G — lets you understand how layout choices affect lap time and circuit character. Read more about how professional circuits are designed.

Share with friends. Post a track card straight to the group chat or generate a short link and send it to anyone. They can open your circuit, edit it, and send back their own version. No accounts needed.

Common questions about the race track maker.

How do I create a race track?
Click on the map to place waypoints. A smooth track is drawn between them automatically. When you have 3 or more points, press C to complete the loop. The analysis unlocks instantly: lap time, top speed, corner count, race lap count, and speed zones. Press A for the full analysis — sector times, a corner-by-corner table, and braking zones.
Can I design a track anywhere in the world?
Yes. The tool uses real-world maps powered by Mapbox. Jump to any of the 24 current F1 circuits, search for any city, address, or place, or start right where you are with one tap on the location button. Switch between dark and satellite views at any time.
What's the difference between a closed circuit and a point-to-point stage?
A closed circuit is a traditional loop with a shared start/finish line — completing it unlocks lap times, race-distance lap counts, and the pitlane editor. A point-to-point design is a rally-style stage from a start to a separate finish, with stage-time estimates, corner counts, and speed zones for the full run. You choose the format when you start a design.
Is this race track maker free?
Completely free. No account required, no installation, no data stored on any server. Everything runs in your browser.
Can I share my race track designs?
Yes. Press S to open the share panel: it renders your design as a ready-to-post track card, generates a short link that encodes your entire circuit, and gives you one-tap posting to X, Instagram, Reddit, and Facebook. Anyone with the link can open and keep editing. You can also export PNG images in 8 styles, or GPX, KML, and XML files.
What devices does it work on?
Desktop and mobile. The app is fully touch-enabled — tap to place points, drag to move them, long-press to delete, and pinch to zoom, with a dedicated mobile action bar for undo, closing the loop, stats, and sharing. For the most precise editing, desktop is still king.
